Allows users to uncover data in mainframe data storage environments
Xbridge Systems has unveiled data discovery tool DataSniff, which it claims to be the industry first data discovery tool supporting mainframe systems.
The DataSniff tool enables QSA's and internal auditors to scan the data for sensitive information and allows them to uncover data in mainframe data storage environments that were previously considered 'untouchable' or wrongly categorised as exempt from audit.
Clyde Consulting managing partner Robert Clyde said that mainframe data is too often ignored in any compliance and data loss prevention strategy.
"As far as I can tell, Xbridge's DataSniff is the only mainframe data discovery tool in the market. They provide a unique and crucial capability to include mainframe data in a compliance and DLP strategy," Clyde said.
