Viewpointe introduces digital storage & records management offering 'OnPointe'

Geographically diverse and mirrored data centre locations for additional data protection

Viewpointe, a provider of electronic content management and exchange offerings, has launched OnPointe, a digital storage and records management offering.

The digital storage offering enables organisations to manage, secure and monitor their growing enterprise data.

The new offering features include disaster recovery, intrusion detection and testing, and business continuity capabilities.

The storage offering has geographically diverse and mirrored data centre locations that provide customers with additional protection for their sensitive data.

Further, OnPointe offering capabilities include content assessment; collection and archiving; advanced classification; deduplication; full records management; content management; and eDiscovery.

Viewpointe said that by using OnPointe's pay-as-you-go model, companies can scale - up or down their digital storage usage, eliminating the need to own and sustain records management and storage systems.

Viewpointe document archive and repository services president Rich Walsh said OnPointe provides a secure, scalable and cost-effective alternative; allowing users to focus on their core business, while the company helps ensure user data is safely stored in a compliant, yet easily accessible, environment.
