Opera launches 12.10 version browser for desktops

The latest version offers enhanced support for Macs by supporting Notification Center in the latest MacOS X version

Opera Software has launched final version of Opera 12.10 for desktop, by which comes with additional features and improved extensions which claimed to give browsers a personalised experience.

The new browser combines Opera's Speed Dial to enables easy navigation to favourite sites, shortcuts for easy and fast access to content. the company said.

It includes a new and improved Speed Dial extensions for Facebook and Twitter that keeps user updated with latest feeds, offers Pinterest pictures and latest weather updates, sports scores and news.

The Gmail and Google Calendar extensions in the Speed Dial will help user check the email without typing a single address in the address bar.

Opera 12.1features a new Context Menu API, that enables web developers to extend the usability of context menu, while the Resource Loader API lets web developers have their extensions interact with advanced CSS and JavaScript on webpages.

The latest version offers enhanced support for Macs by supporting Notification Center in the latest MacOS X version and also supports Retina Screen in the newer Macs.

In addition, the new browser offers the SPDY protocol to support and secure connections and also supports WebSocket API.

The new browser also supports ICC colour profiles and colour management and offers basic touch support to Windows 8.
