Nuance launches new version of speech recognition software

Enables document editing, correction workflow for legal support staff

Nuance Communications has launched Dragon NaturallySpeaking Legal 11, a new version of speech recognition software that enables legal professionals to create documents and control their PCs by voice.

The company said that its new offering enables document editing and correction workflow for legal support staff, and allows law firms and corporate legal departments to reduce spending on legal transcription services.

The new version of software automatically formats citations, offers third-party correction features and features custom voice commands that enables build and format document templates.

Legal professionals can dictate into a digital voice recorder on the go for automatic transcription of audio files upon connection to a PC.

Nuance said that its new offering also provides security features, configuration options, and administrative tools for managing large user networks and is compatible.

Dragon 11 is also compatible with Microsoft Office 2010 applications and Full Text Control, Menu Tracking, and Natural Language Commands are supported for Word 2010, Outlook 2010, and Excel 2010.
