DocAuto introduces Distributed System Connector for WorkSite

CBR Staff Writer Published 24 August 2010

Helps firms access documents in different WorkSite databases and servers

DocAuto, a provider of software offerings for Autonomy iManage WorkSite, has introduced a new Distributed System Connector for WorkSite.

The company said that the new offering completely reroutes all of the WorkSite document operations to handle them in multi-database environments.

The new product helps firms that have multiple databases in multiple offices or regions, to frequently access documents in different WorkSite databases and servers.

It also enhances functionality of native WorkSite commands, and also can be substituted for native WorkSite document operations.

DocAuto president David Kiefer said that the need for dynamic cross-system connectivity is significantly increasing, with many of their large clients going to 'Parallel' WorkSpace designs in distributed environments.

"The Distributed System Connector allows for more efficient use of network and WorkSite system resources by allowing users to seamlessly connect as needed, marshal those connections, and dispose of them when no longer needed," Kiefer said.
