Digi-Data partners with Hitachi Data Systems

To provide cloud content management platform for telecommunication companies and managed service providers

Digi-Data has entered into partnership with Hitachi Data Systems to offer services for telecommunication companies and managed service providers, who focus on consumer and SMB markets.

Digi-Data said that its cloud content management platform is an integrated architecture that provides end users with a suite of applications including PC and Mac backup/sync to push content to the cloud, as well as mobile, web, and IPTV applications that provide users with immediate access to their content.

The comapany said that the simple management website also includes file and sharing managers, and media libraries which enables customers to easily protect and cosolidate make it easy for customers to protect and consolidate their digital assets.

Dave Ferro, director of product management at Digi-Data, said: "Our solution is designed to support our carrier partners as well as managed service providers, who focus on a wide variety of consumer and SMB market segments.

"Some partners provide data protection for business and prosumer customers, while others are focused on providing a rich multimedia centric offering. In either case, our platform is flexible enough to accommodate their needs, and extensible enough to integrate with legacy systems."
