City of Inglewood has selected Anacomp, a provider of business process services, for a multi-department, back-file conversion project.
As part of the contract, Anacomp will scan and index a multitude of documents and transfer the document images and metadata to the corresponding departments. Documents to be digitized include police department booking records, planning department permits and records, finance department checks and journal vouchers, and city clerk planning resolutions and meeting minutes. All documentation will be indexed according to previously established business rules and policies within the City of Inglewood.
Anacomp leverages its information infrastructure of multiple secure data centers to provide document, data and business process services. The company captures and hosts documents while meeting the security and availability requirements for enterprise and government customers across the globe. Anacomp also offers its systems design, deployment, training and support of such services, said Anacomp.
Tom Ullman, senior vice president of sales at Anacomp, said: "We're pleased to provide the City of Inglewood with our document scanning services. This contract illustrates our strong commitment to government and civic agencies who are seeking to reduce reliance on cumbersome paper processes and automate their document workflows. Our dynamic capture services have empowered many state and local government clients to take control over their massive amounts of paper documents to better serve the needs of their constituents."
