The Flash Player will not be supported on any Android version beyond Android 4.0.x
Adobe has temporarily reintroduced its Flash player into Google's Android app store in the UK, overturning its decision to remove the media player from its app store.
Earlier this August, Adobe withdrew its Flash Player plug-in for Android, saying the development of the code had been halted. However, Adobe has reintroduced the Flash media Player for a short period of time, following the pressure from UK "strategic partners".
The definite time and date has not yet been set to suggest when the Adobe Flash player will be removed from Google Play.
In addition, the company has also warned in its disclaimer stating that the Flash Player is no longer being updated for new device configurations and will not be supported on any Android version beyond Android 4.0.x.
The BBC report claims that it was one of the strategic partners that have asked Adobe to postpone the removal of Flash media player from the UK Google Play store. Currently the BBC uses Adobe's Flash technology in its iPlayer application.
